Surya's Matraan 70% shooting Completed !!

KV Anand - Suriya Sivakumar's forthcoming 'Maatraan' is much expected due to reasons many. Nearly 70% of the shooting has been wrapped and as earlier reported some high voltage action scenes were canned in Chennai at a huge set erected in OMR.

The team will be shortly leaving to Hyderabad to Ramoji Film City where a week's schedule has been planned.

'Maatraan' sees Suriya in several looks and the actor also got three tattoos in his hand for the film. It has Kajal Aggarwal opposite him with Isha Sharvani in an item number and Sachin Khedekar playing the bad guy. The film has been shot in several locales including Russia, Croatia and Macedonia.

AGS Entertainment will release the film big in mid 2012. The film is touted to be Suriya's biggest release so far in his career.

Suriya on high power mode !

Looks like the last few days have been quite arduous for actor Suriya and director K.V.Anand. The two, who are joining hands hands after Ayan for Maatraan, have been shooting late in the evenings for a high-octane action scene in the film.

Anand says, "About 70 percent of the film is complete and we're wrapping up an action sequence now." While he refused to give ut m...ore details on the film, a source tells us. "A huge set has been erected on the OMR, where the team shoot for 3 days. A week long schedule has been planned in Hyderabad. Anand, Suriya and the rest of the crew will shoot in a film city where another set is being constructed. The actor - director duo is leaving no stone unturned to make sure this film turns out to be as big a hit as their last one."

Surya and Venkat Prabhu get ready!

Close on the heels of completing Maatran for K V Anand, Surya is all geared up to commence his next for Venkat Prabhu. The latter after a stupendous show in Mankatha is all kicked up with his venture with Surya.
Interestingly sources say the movie might have three heroines and the storyline is almost ready. Buzz is that the movie might feature all regular stars of Venkat Prabhu's film including Premji Amaran.
Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring music for the movie. Sakthi Saravanan is cranking the camera.

I want to work with Surya - Taapsee Pannu

Who wouldn’t give up the opportunity to be part of the glamour world? It’s therefore not surprising to learn that Taapsee Pannu gave up an offer to work with a leading IT firm for films. With several commercials to her credit, her pretty face was noted by several film-makers. What’s more? She debuted opposite Tamil star Dhanush in Aadukalam that hit the ...theatres last week.

With several stars, including Rajinikanth, praising her for her performance in the movie, Taapsee seems to be in the mood for celebration! “I get bored easily and am constantly looking out to do something different. Getting into the film industry is an outcome of just that — an experiment. I began to get offers from the south after I won a couple of titles at a beauty pageant. So I decided to act. But I find myself enjoying my job thoroughly,” she says.

Getting to work with a star in the first film ensures you of a ticket to sustainability from day one. Taapsee says, “Dhanush is an evolved actor in the true sense. I didn’t have the slightest clue about Kollywood and the language too was a problem. But he helped me understand the industry,” she says, adding, “I had to deliver a dialogue that ran for more than six lines without prompting. I was panicking, but with the help of my co-star and director, I did so with ease.”

Taapsee’s quite upbeat about her new life as a film actor and gets talking about her wish list of stars she wants to work with. “People from the north know the stalwarts — Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan. But after Suriya’s performance in Rakta Charitra, a lot of girls are curious about him. He is my favourite actor and I would love to work with him,” she giggles. In fact, she even conveyed her intention to the man himself. “I met Suriya during the audio launch of my film and told him exactly what I felt. He apologised for not coming up to congratulate me first. I thought that was a cute gesture,” she adds, hoping to see her dreams come true soon.

‎3 heroines for Suriya : Venkat Prabhu !

Director Venkat Prabhu who is red hot after Mankatha success, is one busy man these days. The director is busy giving finishing touches to his next film with Suriya in the lead produced under Studio Green banner.

The script writing work is going on at a brisk pace and Venkat is fine tuning it all before the next stage.

For both Suriya and Venkat fans, the curiosity levels are already high about how what the movie is going to be about. Says Venkat, “It will be an action film but has humour as well. It will bring out the other side of Suriya. After all we have all seen his humourous side in Pithamagan.”

And the icing on the cake is, the presence of not one but three heroines in the film! Venkat confirms, “Yes there will be more than one heroine, maybe three of them. There will most probably be new faces.”

Given his penchant for casting several heroines in his films, this news is going to raise the interest levels even further in the film

Sony Music South is snapped the audio rights Maatraan !

Surya’s Maatraan directed by K.V. Anand is creating a big bang from the day of its announcement. There is almost a big fight to acquire the movie rights, audio rights, satellite rights and what not. The latest buzz is Sony Music South is said to have snapped the audio rights of the film. It is reported thatthere was a tough competition between the audio companies for the music rights of the movie. According to sources, recording of 3 tracks have been completed for the movie. Harris Jayaraj does the music score for the film!
