Maatraan 90% Shooting Over !


Surya’s Maatraan directed by KV Anand shooting is almost 90% over and nnly some songs are left to be shot. Maatraan is an big budget extravaganza action thriller and it will be Surya’s costliest film till date.

Maatraan is expected to be released by June by this year. Maatraan has usend Performance capture technology for action scenes which is in par with Hollywood Avatar movie.

KV Anand’s Suriya’s action packed thriller Maatran shoot is almost 90% complete, except for a few songs. The big budget extravaganza said to be Suriya’s costliest film is getting ready for a June/July release.
Maatran is making news as it  promises to be one of the slickest films in recent times. Anand has used Performance capture technology for some action scenes.
However Anand when it comes to songs believes in old fashioned romantic melodies. His combination with Harris Jayaraj has always worked wonders and the pair is now on a hat trick after chartbusters like Ayan and Ko.
Last week, Anand was back in his favourite location near Pune for the shoot of a romantic number which was picturised on Suriya and Kajal. The cameraman turned director loves Wai near Pune comprising of Mahabaleshwar, Dhom lake, Krishna river and valley one of the prettiest places in India.
This location first caught the attention of Kollywood when Superstar Rajinikanth’s Shankar directed Sivaji’s opening song “Balleilakka…” was shot in the Wai area.
Remember, Anand who was the cinematographer of the film and appeared for a brief moment in the song, had lensed it beautifully

Singam Part 2 in Foreign Locations !

The film Singam had Surya, Anushka and Vivek in the cast turned out to be a super hit.
Only the song sequences in Hari films will be shot in foreign locations but for the first time the song sequences and the climax sequences are to be shot in South Africa and Nigeria. It is understood that Singam 2 will take one more step forward in his career.
